About Us

History

The Manila Catering Corporation (MCC) is a food commissary services company, operating since September 1988. The company started out as “Mr. Spoon’, a mom-and-pop business in Malabon City. It soon expanded into a catering services for small parties up to bigger corporate events of companies such as Colgate, Palmolive, and Citibank. During one catering event with Citibank, a senior manager remarked that the food and setup reminded him of the “Old Manila’s” grandiose style of celebration. Soon afterwards, the company has been renamed as the Manila Catering Services. From corporate accounts, MCS saw the potential of social events most especially of wedding and debuts. Towards the end of 1990s was the start of the wedding industry. The company was one of the pioneers to discover this booming industry then.

 

By the late 2000s, MCS started to shift into commissary services for airline companies and institutional accounts. Following this expansion of services and product offerings, MCS has been incorporated and renamed as the Manila Catering Corporation (MCC) in 2011.
